Experience De 4 van Alkmaar
From Wednesday 10 to Saturday 13 June 2026, the 18th edition of De 4 van Alkmaar will take place. This multi-day walking event offers a wide variety of distances, allowing every participant to choose a challenge that suits them best. You can take part for four days or opt for the one-day edition, which is held on Saturday only.

Participants select a distance that is walked each day. The available distances are 10, 15, 20, 25 and 40 kilometres per day, all of which are also open to Nordic Walkers. With the option to choose shorter distances, De 4 van Alkmaar is accessible to a broad and diverse group of walkers, making it an event for everyone to enjoy.

De 4 van Alkmaar is all about connecting, moving together and enjoying a sporty atmosphere. Along the way, participants discover beautiful routes that showcase the many faces of the charming city of Alkmaar and its surrounding landscapes. Great care is taken in the organisation and support along the routes, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all.
